Samsung silently launched the recently debuted Galaxy A22 in India. The latest smartphone from the Korean giant comes with a 5000mAh battery, a 90hz display with a waterdrop-style notch. The Galaxy A22 also supports 15W fast charging to charge the beefy 5000mAh battery much quicker. The Galaxy A22 along with the Galaxy A22 5G, first debuted in Europe earlier this month.

Samsung Galaxy A22 comes with dual-SIM (Nano) support along with the latest Android 11 with One UI 3.1 on top out-of-the-box. The Galaxy A22 comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Samsung has provided an HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) panel that comes with a 90Hz refresh rate.
Samsung Galaxy A22 is powered by an unspecified octa-core SoC along with 6GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 128GB of onboard storage which can further be expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot (up to 1TB).
Samsung Galaxy A22 comes with a Quad Camera setup at the rear which houses a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens. There’s also an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle shooter, 2-megapixel macro shooter, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens.
The primary sensor supports Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), which helps in getting less blurry shots in shaky conditions and stable footage when recording while walking.
For selfies and video calls, Galaxy A22 features a 13-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 lens.
Samsung has provided a massive 5000mAh battery in the Galaxy A22, which can deliver up to 38 hr of Talktime on a 4G network. It also supports 15W fast charging to boost the charging speeds of the massive battery.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. There is also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Besides, it measures 159.3×73.6×8.4mm and weighs 186 grams.
Samsung Galaxy A22 Price in India
The Galaxy A22 comes with a price tag of ₹18,999 for 6GB RAM and a 128GB storage variant. The smartphone comes in Black and Mint color options. At the moment, the Samsung Galaxy A22 is available to purchase on Samsung India’s official site. However, it is expected to go on sale through other sales channels soon.
The price of the Samsung Galaxy A22 is a lot higher when compared to the recently launched Galaxy M32 which has been priced at ₹14,999.
